Butterflies
Inspiring independent and inquisitive young children from 36 months to 5.
Butterflies is a happy and calm place full of warmth, fun and friendship.
There are 3 rooms within Butterflies; Red Room, Yellow Room and Blue Room.
We use Montessori teaching methods and materials to introduce a wide range of subjects.
In addition to the Early Years Foundation Stage our children also enjoy creative subjects including art, music and dance as well as learning French as an extension of language skills, and knowledge and understanding of the world.
The Montessori system helps children to learn through experience and refine their senses. Exploring and stimulating sight, touch, smell, sound and taste are at the heart of the nursery experience for the children in our care.
With the outdoors playing an important role in life within Butterflies, the children make the most of the outside space available to them. From visits to the sensory garden and pretend play in the caravan to story time under the shade of the oak tree, the outside space offers a stimulating environment with many opportunities to both explore and learn. The indoor and outdoor classroom work in harmony.
Each child receives individual attention from our highly dedicated staff. The staff observe, evaluate and plan for the children's individual needs. As they approach their fifth year, the children are gradually introduced to school life. Through gentle encouragement, they are prepared for the transition in to reception class.
